Peanut butter jelly time! Okay, not really. It’s only jelly time. First jelly sandwich! I’m so happy I found Orly’s Mermaid Tale on clearance at Sally’s last week. It’s was $3! A third of what it’s normally priced. Holla! I love the swampy feel of Mermaid Tale and OPI’s Here Today… Aragon Tomorrow. Which lead me to pairing this combo with my own franken I made a few months back called Swamp Thang. In love. Swamp Thang was gradiated on my non-accent nails. I used a cotton round soaked in nail polish remover to gently remove some of the stamp to add a fading effect.

I absolutely love Eeyore, so it would only be appropriate for me to franken a polish after him. I used China Glaze’s Electric Beat, Sinful Colors Snow Me White, L.A. Girls Glitter Addict’s Eutopia and Provocative, and Wet n Wild’s Sparkled and Tangled In My Web.

Wet n Wild Wild Shine and Megalast- Blazed, Heatwave (mixed with Blazed for bow)
China Glaze- Electric Beat
Sinful Colors- Black On Black, Snow Me White (mixed with Wet n Wilds for bow)

No problem. :)
- Less than half a bottle of clear base/top coat, you’ll be adding more clear into the bottle when you add in all the glitter polishes. If it’s not ‘jelly’ enough by the end of mixing all the polishes, then you can add more clear.
- A teaspoon of a medium light pink that had the lightest touch of purple in it. I bought it from Ross in a set and they were all unknown in the name department.
- A couple drops of Sinful Colors Fusion Neon.
- A couple of drops of Sinful Colors Snow Me White
- About a 1/4 teaspoon of L.A. Colors Color Craze ”Sparkling Diamonds”.
- A third of the bottle of Wet n Wild’s “Party Of Five Glitters”.
- And about a sixth of the bottle of Milani’s “Gems”.
Remember my Across The Universe dupe, Across The Pond? Well, I made another one, this time it’s a lot closer to Deborah Lippman’s Across The Universe. I’ve named it Octopus’s Garden. For the swatches, I layered two coats of Octopus’s Garden over a layer of Essence Hard To Resist (left), two coats of Octopus’s Garden by itself (middle), and two coats of Octopus’s Garden over a layer of Across The Pond (right).
The following is what I used:
Essence- Hard To Resist
Icing- No name, a medium/dark teal creme
L.A. Girl Glitter Addict-Nostalgic, Purge
Top Coat
Glitter in green and light blue.
*note* I bought the green glitter from the Dollar Tree and the color doesn’t bleed.
