Did Orly really need to cheapen the look of their bottles? I mean, really. The new logo and design of the bottle is butt ass ugly. What is wrong with you?
This weeks mani is more swatch than design. I bought a crap ton of polishes between Saturday and Tuesday, and I’m wearing two of them. I caved into the snowman polishes you can find at Rite Aid and I think Walgreens. I bought 4 glitters and they are adorable! Sadly they smell horrible! Like, spray paint horrible. But they’re adorable, so whatever. I found Rock-It at Marshall’s for a whopping $4. Fuck yeah! I wish it was more true to the bottle, but it’s still stunning. You can slightly tell in the swatch picture that the duochrome is present, just at certain angles and lighting. My camera just didn’t want to cooperate and catch it.

I have two, possibly three (if I can fix my camera in an hour) nail art posts for y’all today. I entered in this one and my next mani in for two different contests over a week ago and I’ve been holding on to them until the contests were over, and well, let’s just say that I’m not mad my wolfie didn’t place in the contest I entered him into, I’m mad that a boring ass STAMPED manicure was a finalist. Seriously. Anyways….

It’s Katy’s, aka Nailed It, blog birthday and to celebrate it, she’s holding a nail art contest. And shocker, I’m submitting something. The rules were to only use two bottles of nail polish, no decals, no stamps, no loose glitter, no rhinestones. BUT you can use glitter nail polish, which definitely sent my mind straight to mosaics. I used the mosaic pictured above, found here, as my inspiration. I tried to recreate the full mosaic on my middle finger, but it was just not working…. at all.

Did you expect this Portland girl to not do this? I mean, seriously. Not only am I obliged to do this, but my Orly Nite Owl and Fowl Play were just begging me to do a bird design. Ya know, since both are a part of Orly’s Birds of a Feather collection.
